“I was once lost in life just like other office workers, but I found my purpose again with this magic and I am alive again.”

 

In 2016, I was completely drowned by expectation from this society and the dullness of office working. One day, I said “That’s enough!” and I started searching for my life’s purpose. The search went on and on, until I found blacksmithing. It ignites my desire to become a maker, a dream I once had when I was a kid, and the drive for me to take action to join the blacksmithing conference in the USA. 

 

I attended the conference and it was magical to me. It showed me a whole new world formed by craftsmen and craftswomen. They taught me that blacksmithing is not just about swords and armour, it can also be used to express thoughts and a medium of art. I was so eager to be part of this world, I approached course leaders of three universities in the world that offer blacksmithing degree courses. We shared insights, passion and burritos in the process, and in the end I chose Hereford College of Arts in the United Kingdom as my next adventure.

 

During my time in HCA, I was taught by different blacksmiths who can manipulate hot metal in mind-blowing ways. These moments made me realise the only limitation to this “Blacksmithing Magic” is our own imagination. The more creative you are, the stronger magical powers you can wield.

 

When I come back to Hong Kong in 2020, every time I see the faces of soulless workers, they remind me of the lost period of my life. I hope to introduce this wonderful magic to everyone, to help people bring back their lost souls. Thus I started this brand, to “Bring Life to your Home with Fire, Metal and Magic.”
